Fields of Mistria Patch 1.0.3
August 15 QoL patch — wedding calendar locks, museum mail, festival spouse stability, and crash fixes.
NPC Studio shipped Fields of Mistria v1.0.3 on August 15, 2026, eight days after patch 1.0.2 and ten days after the 1.0 launch. This is a stability and calendar-safety patch, not a new story chapter. Install it before you pick a wedding day, finish the museum, ride a mount into dialogue, or take a spouse to a festival.

Why 1.0.3 matters if you already patched twice
1.0.1 stopped Friday-save and Rock Stack crashes. 1.0.2 fixed the Shooting Star softlock, Vera hairstyles, and Landen’s exterior letter. 1.0.3 targets the next wave of 1.0 pain:
- Wedding days can no longer land on festival setup dates
- Museum completion now sends the promised reward letter
- True Love and Parent achievements pop more reliably
- Spouse + festival combinations no longer crash
- Mine elevators, mounts, pets, and furniture placement stop several hard crashes
If your save is mid-engagement, mid-museum, or mid-Stillwell week, update before the next Saturday.
Wedding calendar lock (read this before proposing)
Festival setup days — Spring 14, Fall 7, and Winter 7 — can no longer be selected as Wedding Days. Those mornings exist so the game can stage Spring Festival, Harvest Festival, and Animal Festival infrastructure. A wedding on the same date stole the festival start.
If you already booked one of those dates before 1.0.3: the Spring and Harvest festivals may fail to start that year. They resume correctly in following years. The patch does not silently rewrite an already-chosen wedding; it only blocks new selections.
Plan ceremonies with how to get married and the festivals calendar. Keep Fall 7 free for Queen Berry planting even when you are not marrying — that date is both a setup day and the berry deadline.
Shop UI and late-game Song Crystals
The Seasonal Stock icon in shop menus is clearer so you stop mistaking limited seasonal rows for year-round inventory. Song Crystals tied to late-game tracks no longer appear at Zorel before you have seen the matching story content — pair with home and Song Crystals if a crystal vanished from the Saturday stall.
High-impact gameplay fixes
| Issue | 1.0.3 status |
|---|---|
| Hop into collisions and get stuck | Fixed |
| Enchanterns freeze while charging | Fixed |
| Clod projectiles caught in a Bug Net persist invisibly | Fixed |
| Gryphon Statues become immune | Fixed |
| Deliberate Debris II misses season-start debris | Fixed |
| Museum completion letter never arrives | Fixed |
| Late-game Song Crystals sold too early | Gated until story seen |
| Fish bait cannot reach pond corners | Fixed |
Deliberate Debris II now clears debris that spawns on the first morning of a new season — important for Spring 1 farm resets documented in crops by season.
Achievements, photos, and art polish
True Love and Parent now unlock more reliably at the moment you earn them. If they stayed locked after a wedding or Mystical Feather path, load once on 1.0.3 and sleep a day — see Steam achievements and how to have children.
Visual and audio QoL:
- NPCs appear in Bathhouse Date photos again
- Wedding Day photos no longer force rainy weather
- Date photo portraits appear correctly for all NPCs (hot fix)
- Trees fall away from the player when chopped
- Lights render in bad weather; fish bobber VFX restored
- Timbered Farmhouse variant displays correctly
- Adeline 8-heart event and March 8-heart event render correctly
- Chosen Bell sound persists across save/load
- Quest UI sorts alphanumerically
Bathhouse and wedding photo bugs were blocking album completion for dating players — dating and dates.
NPC, request, and festival social fixes
- March no longer uses another NPC’s engagement congratulations line
- Requests from Saturday Market vendors no longer appear before Stillwell and Zorel arrive — Saturday Market vendors
- Spouses cannot be invited to the Harvest Festival dance when they are not on the festival grounds
- NPCs no longer scold you for missing a Shooting Star date if you talk past midnight on Summer 28
Crash fixes worth updating for

What 1.0.3 does not change
- Marriage, children, Town Rank 100, and museum feature set from 1.0
- Stillwell’s twelve-mission order — Stillwell missions
- Vera’s 1.0.2 hairstyle catalog
- Official note: performance-focused work is planned for a later patch; GPU driver updates remain the first hitching step
Localization beta additions continue. English remains the safest puzzle reference.
Recommended update steps
- Steam update to 1.0.3 before loading the main save.
- Load once and sleep — let True Love / Parent and museum mail resync.
- If engaged, open the wedding calendar and confirm the date is not Spring 14, Fall 7, or Winter 7.
- If the museum is complete, check mail for the missing reward letter.
- Saturday: confirm Zorel is not selling story-locked Song Crystals early.
- Festival week: update before bringing a spouse into town crowds.
Known issues after 1.0.3
NPC Studio is still working on performance and graphical optimizations for a future patch. Localization feedback forms remain open. If a wedding already occupies a setup day, plan next year’s festival attendance instead of expecting a silent calendar rewrite.
Patch 1.0.3 is the build that makes 1.0’s wedding, museum finale, and festival spouse scenes safe to finish. Stay on latest, then return to Town Repair and family routes without crash anxiety.
