Early Access left Town Repair unfinished. Fields of Mistria 1.0 lets you complete the questline, raise Town Rank to 100 (Mistril), build the Saturday Market Plaza, and Repair the Bell Tower. This guide orders those late commissions so you do not wait on Stillwell while the plaza is still rubble.

What “complete” means in 1.0
Finishing Town Repair is more than one gold exclamation. Expect all of the following before the restoration story reads as done:
- Earlier bridge and shop repairs (east road, beach, General Store chain) — how to repair bridges
- Saturday Market Plaza quest (eight-stall market)
- Repair the Bell Tower quest
- Town Rank 100 and the Mistril Town Rank event
- Optional but parallel: museum completable sets — museum overview
1.0.2 blocks entering the Bell Tower before the quest unlocks. Do not clip the ladder expecting a shortcut.
Recommended order
- Rank 10 → mines — how to unlock the mines
- Keep shipping, requests, and donations flowing toward mid ranks while you break seals
- Finish remaining bridges and carpenter shop upgrades so NPCs can path to new districts
- Complete Saturday Market Plaza when the quest appears (community guides place it after a Gold Star rank beat)
- Meet Stillwell and Zorel on the next Saturday — Saturday Market vendors
- Repair the Bell Tower once downtown infrastructure is mostly restored
- Push Rank 100 / Mistril with leftover requests, festival wins, and museum sets
Plaza before Bell Tower is the reliable read: the market vendors and Mission Board assume a rebuilt square. Bell Tower is a late civic landmark, not a week-two errand.
Saturday Market Plaza, Stillwell, and Zorel
The plaza quest expands the weekly market. After it completes:
- Stillwell opens a Mission Board (twelve sequential combat/collection missions, furniture rewards) — Stillwell missions
- Zorel sells Crystal Resonators and Song Crystals for farm and home music — home and Song Crystals
1.0.3 stops Saturday Market requests from appearing in your log before those vendors arrive. If old mail mentioned them early, update and ignore stale request text.
Block Saturday mornings until shopping and one Stillwell mission are done. Mines can wait until afternoon.
Repair the Bell Tower
Repair the Bell Tower is a late Town Repair beat. Finish earlier bridges and shop commissions first. The quest assumes downtown is largely standing.
After repair:
- The tower becomes a reachable landmark (entry was incorrectly possible too early; 1.0.2 locked it)
- 1.0.3 persists your chosen Bell sound across save/load
- Ladder-spam crashes from 1.0.2 are already fixed if you stayed current
Materials come from the same refined-stone / wood economy as other carpenter jobs. Do not sell the last stacks during a mine cleanup week.
Rank 100 and the Mistril event
Town Renown cap is 100. The Mistril Town Rank Event is the ceremonial payoff. Renown still comes from:
- Shipping box totals
- Museum donations (now a completable collection — 1.0.3 restores the completion letter)
- Request board and Crown Requests (letter text updated in 1.0.1)
- Festivals and Stillwell missions
Marriage and children are not substitutes for Rank 100. A wedding may dump a renown chunk; it will not skip Mistril.
Home exteriors sit on the same carpenter spine
Landen’s home-exterior letter requires full carpenter shop and full player home upgrades. 1.0.2 fixed letter timing. Treat exteriors as a Town Repair cousin, not a separate DLC — home and Song Crystals.
Steam achievements tied to the finale
Expect story/town achievements when Bell Tower, plaza, and Mistril complete. Load once after 1.0 for retroactive pops — Steam achievements.
